"i felt a funeral,in my brain" by emily dickinson

When i read the title i think of something sad or a tragic event. In one verse Emily says that a plank broke and she kept falling down and hit a world and finished knowing--then--. she didn't finish but i would assume she was going to say "I felt a funeral in my brain." then she talks about a coffin but doesn't say what is in the coffin, kind of dark & mysterious like the title. Did her brain die or did she die? she then says in one line "As all the heavens were a bell" that has me thinking if she was in the coffin and died then looked down at the coffin as she was falling.
